Evaluation and Assessment Pattern for online D.Y Patil university

• Examinations are conducted twice a year in June and December at specified online Examination Centres.

• Passing criteria and disciplinary control during exams follow the regulations set by Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth.

• The assessment for each course consists of two components.

• Formative Assessment: It is continuous in nature and contributes 50% weightage. Learners submit assessments online by the due date.

• Summative Assessment or Term End Examination: It carries 50% weightage and includes multiple-choice and descriptive questions.

• Both assessments cover the entire syllabus and require completion of the course before accessing them.

• Learners have the flexibility to complete coursework and assessments at their own pace.

• The Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment each carry a total of 50 marks.

• The Summative Assessment includes 40 marks for multiple-choice questions and 10 marks for descriptive questions.
